Career Services

At Hanson College, we not only want to prepare our students with the professional knowledge to be successful in their career field, but we also want to provide our students with the skills to find meaningful and relevant employment.

Some of these skills in finding employment include resume writing, cover letter writing, interview, networking, and follow-up letter writing skills. As a result, we offer career preparation services to students in their final semester to help develop these skills according to Canadian business norms and expectations.

At Hanson College, we regularly hold career workshops for our students ranging from career exploration to excelling in interviews. The workshops, split into four sections, tackle topics such as skills and personality inventories for career exploration, resume formatting and content, writing effective cover letters, and useful interview tips.

In addition to our workshops each semester, we also offer resume and cover letter consulting services by appointment. Career counselling helps students gain the professional knowledge needed to be successful in their respective fields. At these consulting sessions, after students have written a draft of their resume and cover letter, the Career Centre offer advice and help with formatting and editing documents.
